Modeling and Simulation Engineer: Camgian is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the development, analysis, and evaluation of advanced technology concepts and systems through modeling and simulation (M&S) activities. This role involves developing models, conducting simulation runs, analyzing results, and providing technical insight to guide system development and performance assessment. Teamwork, technical curiosity, and a willingness to learn new tools and methodologies are critical requirements for this position.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 2-5 years of experience in modeling, simulation, or related engineering analysis roles
  • Proficiency in simulation and analytical tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar languages
  • Strong understanding of system-of-systems modeling concepts
  • Ability to work with large data sets and analyze simulation outputs
  • U.S. Citizenship
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with simulation frameworks such as AFSIM or custom simulation environments
  • Knowledge of sensor, communication, or weapon system modeling
  • Understanding of system performance metrics, trade studies, and requirements validation
  • Experience with scripting and automation for large-scale simulation runs and data processing
  • Experience with model Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) and ensuring the models are fit for their use
  • Ability to document modeling assumptions, limitations, and results for technical audiences
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement physics-based and behavioral models of platforms, systems, sensors, and weapons
  • Develop, configure, and execute simulation scenarios using internal or third-party tools
  • Conduct performance and trade-off analyses based on simulation outputs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, and program managers
  • Document assumptions, model designs, and simulation results
  • Present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Plan tasks, track progress, and ensure technical quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met
  • Engage in professional development activities to expand technical expertise and M&S capabilities
