Camgian is seeking a Field Test Engineer at our Starkville, MS Headquarters to support the development, analysis, and evaluation of advanced technology concepts and systems through hardware integration testing. This role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, readiness, and execution oversight of all field event activities across products, programs, and customer demonstrations, ensuring that each event is efficiently planned, resourced and executed. Teamwork, technical curiosity, and a willingness to learn new tools and methodologies are critical requirements for this position. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 4 years relevant work experience 

  • 2-5 years of experience with lab, ground, or flight hardware test planning and execution 

  • Proven experience planning and coordinating field operations with cross-functional teams 

  • Proficiency in the development of test plans and procedures 

  • Strong understanding of system and sub-system integration testing concepts  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • U.S. Citizenship 

Desired Skills 

  • Knowledge of system performance metrics and requirements validation 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment 

  • Familiarity tracking and managing issues and risks through to resolution 

  • Familiarity with RF subsystems and components 

  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting 

  • Familiarity with basic network configuration and troubleshooting 

  • Familiarity with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) requirements 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop, implement, and execute test plans, cases, procedures, and reports in support of system integration testing events and technical demonstrations 

  • Coordinate technical training and support to the customer demonstration team. 

  • Oversee scheduling and planning of field events and associated planning meetings 

  • Continuously drive test preparedness by adjusting schedule and scope to manage real world effects 

  • Track required resources for field events to coordinate availability and ensure efficient resource utilization 

  • Coordinate with QA to validate test plan alignment with system requirements 

  • Identify, document, and manage resolution of issues and risks associated with field testing 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers and QA 

  • Plan tasks, track progress, and ensure technical quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met 

  • Engage in professional development activities to expand technical expertise and test capabilities
