System and Software Requirements Engineering Lead

Camgian is seeking an experienced systems and software requirements engineer to lead requirements engineering efforts across our portfolio of DoD and commercial products and programs. In this role you will help define the requirements processes, and tooling as well as integrate it into the larger system development process. Traceability analysis across all system and software engineering artifacts as well as generating quality metrics will be an important need for the process. You will be responsible for working with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to perform requirements elicitation, contribute to system and software architecture, and support the full product life cycle. Significant emphasis will be placed on creating functional requirements and defining their time phasing and risk reduction. The decomposition of open and mil standard requirements while ensuring compliance and a shared understanding of the nonbehavioral requirements will be needed. A successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will encourage an environment that promotes excellence, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with at least 8 years of applicable experience or master’s degree with 6 years of applicable experience 

  • Experience with requirements management on defense systems 

  • Able to configure and use requirements management tools such as DOORS 

  • Ability to derive quality metrics from requirements 

  • Backlog management 

  • Experience with safety, risk, security, and criticality analysis 

  • Traceability analysis 

  • Experience creating Modular Open Systems Architectures 

  • Experience with the Configuration Management of requirements  

  • United States Citizenship 

Desired Skills  

  • Familiarity with diverse military standards 

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools 

  • Process definition and improvement 

  • Experience defining verification approach for each requirement including test cases, criteria and other methods as needed 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform requirements elicitation with all stakeholders including the product team and customers 

  • Decompose and allocate requirements 

  • Define key performance parameters and assist with procedures to measure 

  • Engagement timeline analysis 

  • Ensure verification and validation of requirements 

  • Assist with functional decomposition and architectural definition 

  • General requirements management using appropriate tools
